Find The Hot Products To Sell Online

One of the biggest stumbling blocks for new affiliate marketers is deciding on what to sell online. Many try product after product in an attempt to find something they can sell successfully online. Choosing a hot selling product to sell online isn’t hard. With the simple tips below, anyone can learn to find hot selling products to sell online.

To be successful in affiliate marketing, you have to find a product that many people want. Not only that, you have to find one that they are likely to purchase over the Internet. Sure, a few people will buy a car or boat online, but not many. There are some products that people want to see, touch and evaluate in person before buying. You can’t do that online! Find a popular product that you believe in and then see if they have an affiliate program and find out the terms.

Start by making a list of the things you like and are passionate about. It has always been said that you can sell something you believe in. That’s true. It’s also true that it’s very hard to sell something you know nothing about or have no experience in. This is why it’s critical in finding something that you enjoy or are passionate about.

Both Yahoo and Google have sections where you can go and look to see what the most searched terms are for the previous week, month or year. This will tell you what people are searching for online. Google also has a section called “Hot Trends” that is updated throughout the day to show you the most searched for terms. This can be a huge benefit if you follow it over time.

The other section in Google you want to do research in is Google Trends. This tool will tell you how well the product you’re interested in has been searched for in the past. Google trends is a free tool and one you should not overlook. You want to see the line on the grapch either fairly steady across the graph or rising. A downward line on the graph tells you that interest in the product is tapering off.

The section you want to look for in Yahoo is Yahoo Buzz. This section tracks the most searched for terms of the previoius week or month. It will also tell you whether or not your term is on the rise or tapering off. Personally, I prefer Google Trends for seeing if the product is on fire or cooling off. To find it, go to buzzlog.buzz.yahoo.com. Play around with it a while to really find the best niche products that are hot.

Another excellent place to find hot selling products is ebay. Ebay has a section that will show you the most popular selling products. This can also give you ideas on what to sell on ebay and on the Internet as well. The section you want to look for is called Ebay Pulse. You can also drill down to find which specfic prodcuts are hot. For example, iPods are always hot on Ebay. But which color? Use Ebay Pulse to find which color or which model is hot.

Finding a hot selling product is not hard. You just have to know where to look in order to find them. Picking an affiliate product just because it has a high payout is a sure fire way to fail. Pick something you know about and then research it to see if there is a demand for it. This way you’ll have the confidence to stay the course until you see the fruits of your labor pay off.

Web Hosting For Blogs.

Web Hosting For Blogs.

In the last few years, web hosting has come a long way. Nowadays you can find affordable and reliable web hosting everywhere. Everything from big affiliate marketing websites down to personal web hosting of blogs and websites for my family and close friends.

There are a few things you’ll want to look for before choosing a  provider.

Here Are The Things I Look For In A Blog or Personal Web Hosting Provider

These are the things I want when looking for blog web hosting.

  1. CPanel – The blog web hosting provider you choose should have CPanel so you can easily maintain your account.
  2. Fantastico – This is a program that will install a number of programs for you with minimal effort. It makes it really easy to set up a blog or personal website. Programs such as WordPress, bulletin boards, photo galleries and much more. Most web host provide it with CPanel, but not all.
  3. Multiple Domain Hosting – If you’re just looking to host a personal blog, then this will not matter to you. But if you’re looking for easy web hosting so you can run multiple blogs or websites, then make sure the web hosting provider offers the ability to host multiple domains on one account. Some will only let you host 1 domain while other will allow you to host more than one.
  4. Multiple SubDomains – Again, if you’re just looking for a personal web hosting for a single blog, this probably doesn’t matter. But for Internet Marketers, the ability to have multiple sub domains can come in handy.
  5. Domain Registration – Although it’s pretty easy to buy a domain in one place and then host you website in another, not everyone wants to fool with this. For this reason, you may want to make sure the blog web hosting provider you choose offers domain registration. What’s even better is if that web host will give you a free domain for buying their web hosting services.
  6. Customer Service – Before I sign up with any blog web hosting provider, I email the company and ask a few simple questions. I already know the answers to the questions before I send them. What I’m looking for is how quick they get back to me and how informative their answers are. This tells me a lot about a hosting company.

That’s about it for the “must have’s”. I don’t worry much about the storage space. Most of the web host listed below give you plenty of storage space for your blog or website. Also I don’t worry much about bandwidth on my small blogs or for personal web hosting.

I will tell you this about personal web hosting. If you plan on using your blog or website to store pictures for the family, you’re better off using a service like Flickr and then using a WordPress plugin to show those pictures on your blog rather than try and upload a bunch of pictures to your web hosting account. Your storage and bandwidth will be used up by large files and pictures.

A good example of reliable web hosting is CLICK HERE.

Hosting your own blog vs using a third party hosting service

WordPress is the definitive blogging platform today. Search engines love it and the customization options are amazing.

However many people who are creating a blog for marketing purposes make the mistake of going to wordpress.com and getting started there. What is wrong with that? Several things, IF your blog is for business. For starters wordpress.com is a hosted solution for your blog. You have very little control over how your blog looks. You cannot use plugins, they will host ads on your blog and make you pay extra to have those removed.

And if you do any commercial promotions through your wordpress.com blog they can hit the delete button on your blog and make it disappear forever. You won’t get it back. Something as simple as linking to a ClickBank product through your affiliate link will get your blog shut down on wordpress.com.

What you want to do is head over to http://www.wordpress.ORG. At wordpress.org you can download the wordpress blog software itself. It comes in a zip file, which you then upload to your own server. If it’s starting to sound complicated never fear, getting your own hosting and installing a blog is a breeze when you have directions to follow. You can get reliable inexpensive hosting at a good web hosting company. We  recommend their services to all our customers.

Once you install the WordPress blogging software on your own server you can do anything you want within the law. Nobody can take your content away. You are free to blog about affiliate products and link to them through your affiliate link. In light of the new FCC regs make sure you mention that you are an affiliate for the products you are promoting and you’ll be in the clear.

If you just want a blog so you can talk about your surfing addiction wordpress.COM will work fine. They won’t have any problem with your blog. But even if you are simply making everyone else jealous with stories about all the surfer girls you’re meeting in Hawaii you’d be better off having your own blog hosted on your own server. If you want to use plugins to enhance you SEO your free to do that. It will be cheaper in the end and you won’t have to worry about staying in compliance with wordpress.com terms of use.

Think ahead, if you get enough visitors to your recreational blog why wouldn’t you want to monetize it? If I was an aspiring surfer who regularly read your blog it’s pretty likely I would buy products you recommend related to getting started in surfing.
